Jane Hoffman (Luxury Residential) Realty has left Coldwell Banker and HM Commercial Realty has parted ways with MacDonald Realty to come together under the new 'Unison' boutique real estate brokerage banner.

"We took the opportunity to leverage the reputation of both companies -- leaders in their respective fields -- to come together under Unison," said Angela Coupal, who is the managing director and legal counsel for both entities.

"Unison Jane Hoffman Realty and Unison HM Commercial Realty are united, but also independent. Both brands have established databases with clients who have dealt with both Jane Hoffman and HM."

It's also expected Jane Hoffman can refer a residential client to HM if that client is looking for commercial real estate, and vice versa.

Both Jane Hoffman, which has 25 staff and realtors, and HM, which has seven staff and realtors, have relocated into new office space at 473 West Ave. in Kelowna.

Jane Hoffman and HM created the 'Unison' boutique real estate brokerage themselves so they could be affiliates and "elevate real estate services in the Okanagan."

The name 'Unison' is meant to convey the strength of individual voices in sync with one another.

In doing so, they bill themselves as the top luxury residential and leading commercial real estate powerhouses in the Okanagan.

And they aren't exaggerating.

If there's a multi-multi-million-dollar luxury home for sale, Jane Hoffman likely has the listing.

The same goes for HM and big commercial deals.

Over 35 years, Jane Hoffman Realty has had $5 billion in sales, specializing in selling pricey waterfront homes and luxury estates.

Currently, Jane Hoffman has the listings for the most expensive luxury homes on the market -- the $21-million waterfront compound at 8888 Lakeshore Rd. and a $13.5-million, 10,000-square-foot modern mansion with infinity pool in Sheerwater.

Over eight years, HM, which specializes in selling income-producing properties, industrial land, land for development and commercial leasing, has more than $1.3 billion in collective sales.

Right now, HM has the $27-million listing for the 317-acre plot that is the largest subdivision for development in Penticton and the $13.5-million listing for Vibrant Vine Winery in East Kelowna.

"The way we work together is strikingly similar," said HM principal Marshall McAnerney.

"I have always respected how Jane Hoffman does business, her integrity, and the way she puts people first. In merging, we can enhance the client experience and provide high-level and comprehensive real estate solutions."

Hoffman sees big growth for both the Unison partnership and the Okanagan real estate sector as a whole.

"Our affiliation is an evolution that will bring elevated real estate service to those looking to fulfill both commercial and residential needs," she said.
