In this episode of Rick and Friends, Rick Maddison is joined by winemaker Jason Parkes.

“If you think you know what you’re doing, you’re going to be there for a while,” Parkes says.
Parkes describes his company Jason Parkes Customs as being defined by the people in it, stating that they have a traditional outlook towards work ethic, aiming to be unpretentious, hardworking and common sense.
“I’ve got better people than me working for me,” he says.
Parkes describes himself as emotionally intelligent, emphasizing on the care he puts into adding to the lives of his employees and clients alike.
Maddison and Parkes dive in deep about the making of Crown & Thieves and its accompanied speakeasy on the bottom floor.
Parkes explains that the aesthetic is meant to mimic his “nana's and papa's” house in England, creating an eclectic space filled with non-timeframe specific antiques where he can perform with his band for crowds of 70-100 people on the weekends.
He describes his goal for the space as a combination of his two passions: music and wine.
