Jeff Cox wants to see more community colleges in the Okanagan

In this episode of Rick and Friends, Rick Maddison is joined by his good friend, Jeff Cox. 

Cox is the founder and CEO of Simply Benefits, a company that helps advisors and employees make benefits easy. They provide health and dental coverage, as well as disability coverage.

Maddison and Cox discuss a range of topics including the challenges faced in today's society, education, the pandemic and the Okanagan’s attraction.

The two dive deep into the issues of homelessness, drug use, addiction and isolation in the Valley.  

With the pandemic nearing an end, Cox shares some of the key lessons we have all learned and reflects on what was an extremely lonely and debilitating time for some people.

Cox is keen to see more community colleges in the Okanagan to boost sustainable living and teach people the necessary skills to start working once they graduate.

The pair shares opinions on current topics in the news and encourages individuals to stay mindful and conscientious of their actions.

Cox expresses his fondness of the Okanagan and shares his enjoyment of surfing and boat trips with his family.
