(Update 2:00 p.m.) - Highway 33 is once again open in both directions.

(Original Story) - Drive BC is reporting a motor vehicle accident along Highway 33.

The accident has closed one lane until at least 2 p.m. as crews work to recover a vehicle.

Officials are urging motorists to exercise on Okanagan roads, where a dangerous mix of snowfall and subzero temperatures have created dangerous driving conditions.

Earlier on Friday, a crash on Hwy 97 near UBC Okanagan has claimed the life of an 18-year-old Kelowna resident.

KelownaNow will update this story as more information becomes available.
