Arts on the Avenue is happening from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

The event is hosted by Festivals Kelowna and it’ll feature a variety of art exhibitions and demonstrations, but it’ll also result in a fairly major road closure.

Bernard Avenue will be closed from Water Street to Ellis Street from 11 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. today to accommodate the event.

Intersections in that stretch will not be affected by the closure, however, and cars will be able to pass through heading north/south.

There will also be restricted parking on the east side of Water Street and Pandosy Street, from Lawrence Avenue to Bernard Avenue, for the duration of the event.

Transit bus #1 will be rerouted off Bernard Avenue during the closure and you can find out more on route changes through the BC Transit website.

You can find out more on Arts on the Avenue by visiting the Festivals Kelowna website.
