(UPDATE: 12:25 p.m.) - The Coquihalla Highway is now open in both direction.
A single lane of traffic is open both northbound and southbound, with the middle lane being closed both ways.
Crews are on scene attending to the accident that previously shut down the road southbound and motorists are asked to slow down and drive with caution.

(Original story: 11:15 a.m.) - For the second day in a row, the Coquihalla Highway (Hwy 5) is closed.
Today’s closure is southbound, between Merritt and Hope, due to a vehicle incident.

A commenter in the Coquihalla Road Reports Facebook group says the closure is due to a jackknifed semi.
An assessment is in progress, but there’s no estimated time for the highway to reopen.

An alternate route is available using Hwy 1 or a combination of Hwy 3 and Hwy 5A.
