UPDATE: Coquihalla reopens after multiple vehicle incidents

(Update - 1:10 p.m.): Drive BC is has mentioned that the Coquihalla highway is open, though they are estimating that drivers on the Coquihalla Highway could face 60 to 90-minute delays. 

The delays are being caused due to several vehicle incidents near Meadow Creek Road. 

At this time, there is no indication on when the road will fully reopen. 

(Original - 12:30 p.m.): Residents driving to and from Vancouver should be aware that part of the Coquihalla is currently closed. 

According to Drive BC, multiple accidents near Meadows Creek Road on BC Hwy 5 have caused both sides of the road to close. For those wondering where Meadows Creek Road is, it's the turnoff from Kamloops to Logan Lake. 

Witnesses have described the roads to be very wet, with some sections seeing hail. Others have said they've witnesses close to six cars involved in accidents. 

Emergency vehicles are currently en route to Meadow Creek Road.
