(UPDATE: Jan. 12 @ 12:12 pm): The highway is now open to single-lane traffic.


(Original story: Jan. 12 @ 10:36 am): Hwy 1 has been closed in both directions east of Revelstoke.

A crash between the West Boundary of Mount Revelstoke National Park and Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk is to blame, according to DriveBC.

No detour is available.  

An assessment is in place.
