UPDATE: Hwy 3 completely reopened to traffic

(UPDATE: 9:45 p.m.) - Drive BC has confirmed that Hwy 3 is fully open to both directions of traffic. 

(UPDATE: 6:50 p.m.) - The Crowsnest Highway, also known as Hwy3, has been reopened

Drive BC reports that the roadway is open for both directions of travel via single-lane alternating traffic. 

Although Hwy 3 is available for travel, Drive BC has not given an estimated time for when the road will be cleared and fully open for both directions of travel with no restrictions. 

Their next update is expected at 7:30 p.m.

Hwy 3 has been closed after a vehicle incident at Sunday Summit. 

A detour is not available. 

DriveBC reported that an assessment is in progress. 

The estimated time of re-opening is not available.
