UPDATE: Hwy 97A reopens near Sicamous following rockslide

(UPDATE: Dec. 5 @ noon): Hwy 97A has reopened following an earlier rockslide near Sicamous. 

Drivers are now asked to proceed with caution when travelling the route. 

(Original Story: Dec. 4 @ 9:15 am): Travellers looking to head from Kelowna to the Shuswap should be aware of a road closure. 

According to Drive BC, Hwy 97A is closed south of Sicamous at Davidson Road. The closure comes due to an apparent rockslide. 

At this point, crews are on scene. An assessment is in progress. 

No injuries have been reported following the closure.
