Leckie now closed on both sides of Hwy 97 for rest of August

Intersection improvement work at Leckie Road and Hwy 97 continues and a bigger closure has been put in place.

Leckie is now closed to vehicle traffic on both sides of Hwy 97, while lane closures on Hwy 97 will continue between 9 pm and 7 am.

Work will be ongoing until the end of August.

“Vehicles can access local businesses off Enterprise Way or Banks Road during these closures,” explained the City of Kelowna. 

“Construction is being done to accommodate traffic signal works and continuing intersection improvements in this area.”

Vehicles and pedestrians are asked to keep their distance, use caution and follow all posted signage during construction as there will be an increase in truck and equipment traffic.

Once extended to Hwy 97, the Leckie ATC will span all the way between the highway and Mission Creek Greenway.

Future phases of the ATC will continue to Dilworth Drive and connect to the Okanagan Rail Trail.
