The snowfall was expected but it’s still wreaking havoc on BC Interior highways.

DriveBC warns drivers to expect one hour delays on the Coquihalla Highway (Hwy 5) after multiple early morning vehicle incidents in the snow.

There are troubles in both directions, but the road does remain open.

However, DriveBC does suggest using an alternate route such as Hwy 1 or Hwy 3.

Hwy 1 just reopened near Field, BC after another early morning vehicle incident had that section of highway fully closed.

There are no reported incidents on the Connector (Hwy 97C) at this time, but webcam images from DriveBC show slick and dangerous conditions at higher elevations.

NowMedia will update this story as it develops.
