UPDATE: Okanagan Connector open in both directions

(UPDATE: 4:30 p.m.) -  The Okanagan Connector (Hwy 97C) is open in both directions, according to DriveBC.

(Original story: 2:40 p.m.) - Drive BC is reporting that Highway 97C has been closed eastbound after a crash 4 kilometres west of Pennask Summitt.

There is no detour available, and drivers are being told to use an alternate route.

There isn’t an estimated time of reopening yet, and an assessment is in progress. The next update should come at about 4 p.m.
