UPDATE: Traffic moving on Coquihalla again after helicopter evacuation

(Update: April 1 @ 11:04 am): The Coquihalla is now moving again after a helicopter evacuation earlier this morning. 

Drivers, though, are warned to expect delays and congestion.

(Original story: April 1 @ 10:23 am): The Coquihalla is closed in both directions between Hope and Merritt after a vehicle incident. 

Drive BC said traffic was stopped to allow a helicopter to land for a medical evacuation. 

The scene of the incident is between exits 238 and 250. 

Drivers are warned to expect delays of up to one hour. 

An assessment is currently in process.
