Trans Canada closed due to high avalanche hazard

DriveBC is reporting that Highway 1 is closed in both directions today due to high avalanche hazard. 

The highway is closed between Golden Donald Upper Rd and Ten Mile Hill Truck Stop Rd for 15.5 km. 

The estimated time of reopening is 7 pm tonight.
