Keremeos RCMP Identify Missing Hikers as Search Continues

RCMP continue to search for two missing hikers last seen in the Cathedral Lakes area in the Similkameen.

Keremeos Search and Rescue has been looking for Lynne Carmody and Rick Moynan since they failed to return to the Cathedral Lakes Lodge on June 22nd. The pair was last seen around 10:00 a.m. Monday morning and was supposed to return for dinner that evening. When they failed to return, staff at the lodge conducted a brief search before contacting police.

Keremeos SAR was activated and a search via foot, vehicle, and air was conducted. The upper camp where the couple went missing has an elevation of approximately 6,800 feet.
