An alternate route is available from Highway 97, Renfrew Road, Highway Lane and Lipsell Avenue to access Columbia Street.

The District has yet to say when the road is expected to reopen.

On Tuesday morning, a washout took out a portion of Westside Road, closing the road in both directions for the morning.

A single traffic has reopened, however, a 50% load restriction remains in place for commercial vehicles.

An Evacuation Alert for 12 Killiney Beach area properties currently remains in effect for Westside Road.
