BC Hydro is saying that residents without power in Summerland right now should be prepared for the outage to last throughout the weekend.

There are currently 244 customers without power, which has been caused by the Mount Eneas wildfire.

The outage is affecting customers in RDOS Electoral Area F, which is in the vicinity of Faulder and Meadow Valley.

Crews can't get in to fix the problem until it's safe to do so, the timing of which is unknown at this time.
