I am a conscious lifestyle and fashion blogger at Sutton + Grove promoting conscious and resourceful living tips, spotlighting NGOs and inspiring people around the world, and promoting brands and products that are ethical, eco friendly, sustainable, fair trade or organic. I love photography, videography, international development and traveling. My home is the Fraser Valley however my husband and I are on the beginning stages of an adventurous long trip where we sold everything and are going to explore some new exciting places around the world.

Why do you use Instagram?

I love Instagram for the story telling aspect of it. Photography is a passion of mine and Instagram has always been a way to for me to tell and share stories about myself, the things I love and places I’ve been. More recently I’ve begun to use Instagram to help promote my conscious lifestyle & fashion blog called Sutton + Grove.

What will people see on your feed?

You will see a variety of monochrome images of cool products I love, outfits I wear, places I have visited and some times food I like to eat!

Does your page have a specific style?

I love a more cool toned and lower saturated style with lots of black ,white, grey, blue and green. I like to focus on the overall look and plan out my pictures so they flow well together, kind of like a personal magazine.

Favourite Instagrammers to follow?

I love @mikutas for her style and photography, @doyoutravel for his inspiring travel adventures and @sustainablychic for her dedication to sustainable and ethical lifestyle.

Why do you follow KelownaNow?

I struggle to find places to see and explore locally when I’m in new or familiar place so KelownaNow is a great tool to see cool local pictures and learn about places to go and visit.

How do you decide on your location for shoots?

I tend to decide based on the product I’m featuring, or where I am currently. I like to use less colourful places, and I gravitate towards city streets or open spaces with beautiful backdrops.

Biggest Instagram moment?

It was probably a couple years ago when I was first working out using the Bikini Body Guide by @kayla_itsines and one of my pictures was featured on her page (when she only had about 1-2M followers or so). That was exciting because it helped boost my page and also gave me confidence in my pictures and to make the shift to a more serious and professional feed on Instagram.
