It’s Thanksgiving weekend and what better time is there to reach out to someone you appreciate and let them know?

Showing gratitude to people you love and care about is a gesture that isn’t done as often as it could be. You’d be surprised how good you feel

Not sure how to say ‘thanks’ in the right way?

As part of the Gratitude Project, we’ve come up with some ideas.

1. Handwritten note

A cute thank-you card or handwritten note is super old school and super adorable. If you’re artsy, get out your calligraphy pens and stun your friends with your skills.

2. E-card

They are quick and easy and there is one for just about every sentiment.

3. Deliver flowers

If you are looking for a way to put a smile on someone’s face, don’t hesitate to order them flowers. A bland work day will turn into something special thanks to you.

4. Give a toast

Champagne is like the exclamation mark on the end of a thank you, am I right?

5. Say it on a cake

Everything is better on a cake, let’s be honest.

6. Write them a song or poem

Are you musically talented? Only do this if you have the voice of an angel or are extraordinarily brave. I think everyone dreams of being serenaded so it’s the thought that counts!

7. Post on social media

8. Send a quick email

This is the perfect way to thank a co-worker for their help, or let someone know it was nice meeting with them.

9. Phone someone you love

Phoning people seems to be less popular, but let’s face it, it really is a nice gesture. Phone your grandmother...because she might not know how to text.

10. In person

A hug, a handshake, a smile all go a long way. Say hi to a stranger and tell them to have a good day. It will make you just as happy as it makes them.

11. Send them a well-known heart jerker

We have a whole article on happy and heartfelt songs for you to send to friends. Check it out and brighten someone's day with just a few clicks.
