For Kelowna residents who feel anxiety creeping up when surrounded by people, the UBCO wants to help.

The UBC Okanagan Interprofessional Clinic is offering six to 12 week Social Anxiety Clinics to the public from May to December 2016.

The clinics will be directed to people who experience intense anxiety in social situations, struggle when interacting with others, worry about being judged or try to avoid social situations at all costs.

Participants will be offered evidence-based psychological treatment by clinical psychology graduate students, who will be supervised by a registered clinical psychologist.

For more information or to schedule a free intake assessment, call 250-807-8241 or email ipc.ok@ubc.ca.

The clinics will be held in the Arts & Sciences Centre room 167, 3187 University Way.
