World-class opera performers putting on free show in Kelowna

It’s just two weeks until the annual Opera Under the Stars concert. 

The free event, which is hosted in UBC Okanagan’s courtyard, is put on by Opera Kelowna. 

It features professional performers from across the globe who are in Kelowna to study on Opera Kelowna’s intensive summer program. 

Among the soloists will be heldentenor Steeve Michaud, baritone Aaron Durand, soprano Marie-Josee Lord and mezzo-soprano Stephanie Tritchew. 

It starts at 8.30 pm on July 31, but guests are welcome to arrive after 7 pm.

There will be food trucks, wine, beer and soft drinks available.

Anyone interested in enjoying some world-class operatic performances is encouraged to bring along blankets and chairs and settle into the courtyard for a magical experience.
