Vernon RCMP Warn About Door to Door Scam

RCMP in Vernon are warning the public about a man who is going door to door attempting to solicit money from strangers.

Police say that for the past few days a man has been trying to solicit money in the area of 48th Avenue to 30th Avenue in Vernon. He has been targeting seniors and elderly homeowners, asking for $30 for various reasons.

The suspect is described as a thinner man in his 20s to early 30s wearing shorts and a red baseball cap.

Police are cautioning the general public to be money smart and to call the RCMP if they see any suspicious activity, or are concerned for their safety.
