Two Taken to Hospital after Vernon Vehicle Hits Pedestrian

Two people in Vernon have been sent to the hospital after a car hit a pedestrian. 

Around 12:46 p.m., on Wednesday afternoon a person was walking on 27th Avenue when a vehicle went off the road and struck them.

Two people have been transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital for treatment, but Cst. Jocelynn Noseworthy with the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP said the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.

Part of 27th Avenue is closed to vehicles and pedestrians as RCMP investigate.
