Body found in Vernon Creek

The body of a 47-year-old man has been found in the Vernon Creek.

On Saturday around 8 a.m., Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP responded to a call of a body in the creek. The body was found near 34th Street and 23rd Avenue in Vernon.

RCMP, BC Ambulance and the Vernon Fire Department all responded and located the body.

The BC Coroner’s Service attended the scene and is investigating this matter.

Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy with the Vernon RCMP said the name and no further details will be released at this time.
