Vernon Creek death not considered suspicious

The Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP confirms that the death of a man discovered in Vernon Creek is not being investigated as suspicious.

The body of a 47-year-old man was recovered from the creek on Saturday but following an investigation, police do not believe there was foul play.

The RCMP continues to investigate the death with the BC Coroners Service. The man’s name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
