A 22-year downhill bike rider was injured on a jump at SilverStar Mountain Resort on Sunday afternoon.

The man was knocked unconscious after his fall near the top of the Home Run Tee.

SilverStar’s Ski Patrol attended and BC Ambulance Service provided transport.

An air ambulance took him to hospital “due to the mechanism of injury,” SilverStar explained.

The patient soon regained consciousness.

“SilverStar continues to take every precaution necessary for the safety of our staff and guests,” the resort explained.
