Emergency crews in Vernon were on the lookout for an apparent abandoned Seadoo in Kalamalka Lake this weekend.

Vernon RCMP, along with Vernon Search and Rescue, both responded to the call sometime on Saturday night.

Search and Rescue deployed two boat teams on the lake as well as ground crews to the Okanagan Rail Trail.

After an extensive search of the shores of the lake from Vernon to Oyama, crews were unable to locate the missing vehicle. Members also spoke to numerous witnesses, though that has yet to yield positive results.

Crews did not mention whether or not a person was missing with the Seadoo. NowMedia is working on gathering more information.
