RCMP searching for suspects who tried to steal ATM from an Okanagan casino

Two suspects were unsuccessful in their overnight attempt to steal an ATM from Lake City Casino in Vernon this week.

RCMP were called to the casino at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, where two men smashed through the building’s front door and tried to steal an ATM.

They were unable to steal the machine and drove off empty handed, but they did cause significant damage to the property.

One suspect is described as a man wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white runners.

The other is also a man and was wearing a dark coloured puffy jacket, a black ski mask, dark coloured pants and black runners with white soles.

They fled in a green Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with a canopy of similar colour, which has a small sticker on the lower right hand side of the rear window.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171.
