On Thursday evening, KF Aerospace hosted an open-house style career fair in hopes of recruiting 100 new positions for the company’s expanding operations.  The event was also a way to take a bit of a behind the scenes tour of the facility.

“The industry is growing so much there is a shortage of aircraft maintenance engineers,” explained Human Resource Manager Susan van Unen.

This recruitment was for entry-level positions, such as Aircraft Paint Preppers and Aircraft Service Technicians.

“There are a lot of positions where we will train you on the job," van Unen said.

Okanagan College was also at the event introducing would be students to their Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program.

KF Aerospace is hoping to add the 100 employees over the next six months.
