They call it "Boat Club". The motto: "No boat? No problem."

The people at Kelowna's Aqua Marine Valet have introduced a way to get you out on the water without the hassle and big costs associated with boat ownership.

You've heard of car sharing? Think of this as boat sharing.

For a flat one-year fee, members are able to book one of three boats in the current fleet.

Members have access to a Mastercraft XT20, a Cobalt 24SD, and a Regal 2100.

Silver club members pay $6,000 a year for weekday availability.

For $12,000 Gold members have access to weekend use. On top of that, you just pay for fuel.

When you arrive your boat is clean, fueled and ready to be placed in the lake for you at the Cook Road boat launch.

If it seems like a lot, consider people pay $5,000 each year for moorage, plus maintenance, winterizing.

As memberships increase, the plan is to add boats to the current fleet, meaning there could be more variety available in the future.
