Who doesn't like a walk on the beach?  Problem is, in Kelowna, it's not always easy to do.

That's why dozens of Kelowna residents took to the Kelowna waterfront to walk and make a point last weekend.

And they have succeeded in getting a renewed conversation going on the topic. Co-organizer Al Janusas came down to KelownaNow to keep it going.

The demonstrators from PLANKelowna believe it's time the public re-asserted it's right to access the foreshore.

The Walk the Beach event drew attention over at City Hall, and co-organizer Al Janusas said it got some support from where you might least expect it.

It turns out some lakeshore property owners would like to be able to go for a beach walk too.
