Siblings, parents, grown children. The Christmas season can really bring people together, but not this year. So we asked people to send their messages through us.

"I'm thinking about my brother, who lives in Australia and was supposed to be here for Christmas," said one woman in downtown Kelowna today. "I love him and I miss him terribly."

"All of my family that's back in Ontario," said another. "I love you guys."

"I love you, I miss your food and I hope I get to see you soon," said yet another about her sister, Rosie.

The province-wide ban on social gatherings with anyone outside of one's immediate household remains in place until January 8.
