The City of Kelowna should pick-up the pace on its retail cannabis plans.

That according to the results of a KelownaNow Facebook poll we posted over the weekend,  71% of respondents to our question said the City should fast track the licensing, while just 29% said a slow approach is better.

The City is expecting hundreds of applications and it's assembling a panel to sort through them all.  Council is still looking at what limitations should be placed on where retailers can set up shop and how close to one another they should permitted.

KelownaNow spoke with Kelowna's Director of Community Planning last week on how the city is preparing for large number of expected applications.

That story can be seen here.

Our Facebook Poll is here.
