When a baby is born, it can be a magic moment.

And a new initiative at Kelowna General Hospital is a celebration of that.

Births are now accompanied by a gentle ringing of chimes and bells throughout the hospital with pink or blue lights in the lobby and the skywalk across Pandosy Street.

The initiative is the realization of a dream that KGH Nurse Educator Bonnie Wilkie has had for the hospital for years.

Funding for the new program comes thanks to the generosity of volunteers and Auxiliary members at KGH.
