On Tuesday, The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society hosted their first Community Services Fair.
The society collaborated with providers with the goal of delivering essential services to elders, and people experiencing or who may be at risk for homelessness.
“I think it’s really important to show that we care, that the community cares,” explains Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society Executive Director Edna Terbasket.
CRA Outreach Services, housing information, employment services, blood pressure testing, and about a dozen other service providers were at the fair.
It’s hoped that by providing these services under one roof at one time, more people in need have access to support and programming. “I think this is a great step for the future,” Terbasket adds.
