Every kid deserves a present for Christmas. That's why Kelowna Santas are ramping up their event again this year. For six years the Santas have been making sure children in need have something under the tree. This year there are about a thousand young people who will benefit. Nikki Csek, the CEO at Csek Creative, oversees the program.

There is no screening process to nominate a child to benefit. "If you have a child 0-17 that needs a Christmas gift," said Csek, "fill out the form, let us know and we will do everything in our power to make sure that it gets fulfilled."

About 80 businesses have made themselves available as drop locations. Once the gifts are matched each to the right needy child, there's a wrap party at Orchard Ford. But it's the next stage, actually distribute the gifts that Csek said is the real eye-opener. "I really had no idea," said Csek, "that some in our community live in. It is heart-wrenching when you deliver." That will happen on the 22nd and 23rd.

Kelowna Santas appreciates the extra publicity provided by K96.3 and Sun FM.

Merry Christmas everyone.
