Earth month continues, and it comes at a time when pressure is mounting for real solutions to the problem of climate change. We asked Kelowna residents if they would be willing to make personal sacrifices or lifestyle changes for the cause. Most replied that they already are, and that they are open to doing more.

Some suggestions for some earth friendly steps you can take right now.

1. Walk, bike or skateboard to work or school.

2. Choose tap water over bottled water.

3. Use reusable containers instead of bags and packages for your packed lunch.

4. Look for lights left on and other unnecessary power usage in your home.

5. Use public transit instead of using your own vehicle.
