With a recent history of leadership turmoil and just four wins so far this season, there's nowhere to go but up and that's exactly where Chris Laurie and John Murphy plan to take the Warriors.

"We obviously want to look forward," said new majority owner John Murphy. "We want to build something great here."

By looking forward, Murphy means not reliving the ups and downs of last year, which included the loss of one coach, the firing and re-hiring of another and players leaving the ice in protest.

"We want to re-establish a winning franchise, a franchise that connects with the community."

New President Chris Laurie said he'll draw on his connections in a city he once called home to rebuild the team's place in the community.

"It's about doing the right things in the community," said Laurie, "and building the right relationships."

Getting more fans in the seats is a priority, but there are no plans to repeat the kind of public plea that went out last year from former owner, Kim Dobranski.

We've got to earn their patronage, he said "We've got to earn their loyalty."

"We've got to put a competitive product on the ice and good entertainment value," said Laurie.

The first thing the club is doing to boost attendance is the return of Happy Hour before each game.
