They're calling it MANifest.  It's an all-male event October 13th with all kinds of "manly" fun.  There will be activities like axe throwing and a hockey shoot-out.  There's also beer.  But more importantly it's about getting men to open up about their feelings. Organizers acknowledge a much higher rate of mental health issues among men than they tend to let on.

At the outset, participants will be asked to fill-out an anonymous survey about their mental health.  It's a way to get some raw data to start a conversation.

There will be hosted learning tables available to help with everything from addiction, to anxiety to suicide prevention.

MANifest will raise money for Canadian Mental Health and the Okanagan Men's Centre.

Representatives from these groups will be on hand serving guests and supporting the event.
