Point getters Kole Lind, Dillon Dube, Carsen Twaryski and Cal Foote are gone.

As the Kelowna Rockets get set to start the pre-season, there are some big skates to fill.

Just where the 2018/19 squad will get it's scoring from is a bit of a question mark, but if owner, President and General Manager Bruce Hamilton is worried, he's not showing it.

Hamilton said the turn-over is just the nature of the business. "It's cyclical, I look at it as a job completed. It's time for those guys to move on."

The highest scoring player returning from last year's team is Kyle Topping.

The pride of Saltspring Island picked up 65 points last season, which is close to a point per game.

Topping is comfortable about stepping into a greater leadership role on and off the ice.

"I'm definitely looking forward to it from a personal standpoint", said the play-making centre. "And I'm confident in our group."

The Rockets Pre-season begins Friday August 31st against the visiting Victoria Royals.
