The news is dominated by some pretty heavy stuff these days, but life goes on. Maintaining a positive disposition, for many people, means getting some fresh air in the sunshine. We found some smiles on Kelowna's beautiful waterfront this morning.

"I think fresh air is the best," said one woman. "I've got my kids out here and we're going for a walk and just hope to stay healthy."

"It's really hard not to get caught up in it all," said another. "But you've just got to take it one day at a time. Get out in the fresh air. Walking is imperative for me to keep my mood up."  She added this little nugget: "You've got to keep smiling!"

"Yeah, it's good," commented another lakefront walker. "We cancelled a trip that would have been a nice vacation while we're on spring break, but instead we're choosing to spend it outdoors and do what we can."

"It's a little scary," lamented yet another pedestrian."Social distancing, but you can go for walks and enjoy nature, just stay kind of away from people."

"Take a couple days off and get out and enjoy the quietness while it's out here. I don't think it's as bad as a lot of people are making it out to be," said a man, visiting Kelowna with his family. "Let's just live our lives, wash our hands and enjoy life."

"You have to get out," said his wife. "You still have to enjoy and what a beautiful day to do that!"
