For a high school production, this is a big one. Over 50 students at Summerland Secondary School have been rehearsing for their presentation of Legally Blonde. It promises to be a lot of fun. Freelance videographer Doug Brown put together this video to promote the show.

Summerland Secondary is so full of talented performers, that they have been able to put together two full casts to perform the show on alternate nights. Under the supervision of Director Heather Ayris, Student Devyn Slade has taken on the job of choreographer. "For most of the cast, this was their first time dancing," admitted Slade. "At first it was a little bit rocky, but we're all getting used to each other."

The lead role of Elle Woods is shared by Tiana Ferlizza and Kayla Rogall. "This show is just so fun all around. Every single part there's something fun coming up," beamed Ferlizza." Rogall said the best thing about the whole process is how people have come together to bring it to life. "Because you create a family every time that you do a show," said Rogall, "and everybody is so supportive and you get to just experience what you love in the best environment."

The curtain opens on the first of eight performances February 20th.
