Tackling social norms can be risky. Or in this case: risque.
Saturday night at Kelowna's Habitat, the latest in a string of Poetry Burlesque shows that's been selling-out a 75 seat venue is now reaching out to fill 200 seats.
The woman behind the show is Skylah Ginette, and she paid us a visit at KelownaNow to explain.
Brace yourself for partial nudity, sexy dancers, explicit language, challenging subject matter and yes...poetry. Prepare to re-consider the barriers that remain in place in our society when it comes to issues of sexuality. The performers may not change your mind, but they're betting you'll enjoy their effort!
