The new guy in charge at the Downtown Kelowna Association is upbeat. A few months after he took on the role, Mark Burley stopped-in at KelownaNow. He is feeling great about all the development that's going on and what it's going to mean for the businesses he represents.

"The priority is the revitalization of Leon Avenue," said Burley when asked about the DKA's wish list. Safety and security remain an issue he said. But there's so much to be optimistic about when you look around and see all the projects underway. "Once those buildings are occupied, not only by the commercial aspects that are there but the residential aspects, that's critical traffic to downtown, the downtown core for people to be walking around and using all the great facilities that are already there."
