Naked Cafe co-owner Olivia Ashley stood in front of a moving transport truck early Tuesday morning.

She was there as part of a protest designed to raise public awareness.

The truck was loaded with chickens headed for slaughter at a processing plant in Armstrong.

News of her activism has received a lot of reaction.

There has been support, but also a fair amount of mockery and derision. In an interview here at KelownaNow, Ashley said she doesn't let the blow-back deter her commitment to her cause.
