From charity runs and sports games, to craft markets and the biggest community events in the city, it is hard to be bored while being in Kelowna.

If you’re looking for a way to make the most of your weekend, we are here to tell you about the notable events and activities coming to town. 

Here is your Weekend Need to KNow!

The Okanagan Marathon

While out and about this weekend, be sure to pop by City Park to cheer on the athletes participating in the 25th annual Okanagan Marathon. 

A Boston Marathon qualifier, the run attracts elite athletes from across Western Canada to compete. Runners can join in on a  10-kilometre, half marathon and full marathon event throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, there’s a family festival all morning long at in the and also a 5-kilometre run and walk, which begins at 10:30 am. 

Do Downtown

Celebrate our amazing downtown and all of the great local businesses that reside there this Saturday as part of the annual “Do Downtown” event.

Expects pop-up shops, sidewalk sales, lunch deals, a food truck rally and more all day long! There will also be free parking in the Library, Memorial and Chapman parkades. Click here for the participating businesses.

Fall Photos at Don-O-Rays

Commemorate the spooky season this Sunday from 10 am until 2 pm at Don-O-Ray Farms. 

Local photographer Amanda Rentiers will be onsite all afternoon snapping adorable photos in front of a stunning autumnal display. So, dress up in your fall best or Halloween costume, grab some friends, family, a pumpkin and say “cheese!”

Photo sessions are $25 and will get you three edited and high-resolution photos. 

Paynter’s Fruit Market Fall Harvest Festival

As a thank you to their dedicated customers, the market will welcome one and all for a day of live entertainment, pumpkin carving, refreshments and more from 2 pm until 5 pm.

After sunset, it will be an enchanted evening filled with Halloween displays. Expect a pumpkin light up and a spooky cobweb alley walk (suitable for all ages) from 5 pm until 7 pm.
