You still have plenty of opportunities to give your input on carriage houses in West Kelowna.

Council is considering allowing carriage houses in the district, but first they're asking for residents' opinions. These second, smaller homes would be on property that already has a single detached home.

You have two in-person opportunities to discuss the idea with district staff. On Thursday, February 5th, head over to Mar Jok Elementary School at 2101 McDougall Road to talk about the project over coffee. The discussion will be open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.

Your next in-person opportunity is on Tuesday, February 10th at Westbank Lions Hall at 2466 Main Street. The meeting will be held at the same time as the previous one, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

If you can't make either of those sessions, you can still give your input online by reading about the proposed regulations and filling out the survey on West Kelowna's website. Finally, you can send your comments via snail mail to Jaleen Rousseau at 2760 Cameron Road, West Kelowna, BC, V1Z 2T6 or by email to jaleen.rosseau@districtofwestkelowna.ca

Make sure to make your voice heard, and maybe get a free cup of coffee at the same time.
