A West Kelowna road was briefly closed Friday morning after a RV caught on fire.

According to West Kelowna Fire Chief Jason Brolund, crews responded to a motorhome on fire shortly after 10:00 a.m.

Two engines and seven fire fighters responded to the RV fire, which was parked on Old Okanagan Highway near Grizzly Road.

At this time, West Kelowna Fire Rescue is not sure how the fire was sparked.

A portion of the road was closed for a brief period of time, but crews have since extinguished the blaze and cleaned up the mess left behind.

There was no one inside the RV at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
