A volunteer at the Rose Valley Community Garden is looking to identify whoever paid them a random act of kindness.

Kirsten Olsen organizes the community garden, and she says that it appears that they have been the recipient of some heartwarming gestures.

The anonymous act was discovered yesterday when Olsen and her daughter were doing some planting. Olsen says she noticed a beautiful new picnic table that someone went to the trouble of building, and as they walked around to one of their other plots they discovered a second gift.

Olsen says she stumbled upon two plots that had been replaced with brand new planting boxes. The boxes even came ready with irrigation.

According to Olsen, there is no record of anyone renting these plots.

“This is so heartwarming and we would like to reach out to these individuals to say thank you,” says Olsen.

She has posted a call out to the Rose Valley Community Garden Facebook page as well as the Rose Valley Community page in hopes of finding whoever is responsible for the touching gesture.

Olsen says that the only clue she’s gotten so far is that two buses of students were at the site on Friday picking garbage, cleaning, and doing some kind of work in the gardens.

If you have any information to share about this random act of kindness, you can email Olsen at rosevalleycommunitygarden@hotmail.com.
